What are the available options for my website?
Every client has different needs, and so every website requires different elements. Some typical options to include are:
- Images-Do you have your own images, or do you require custom photography? Also, stock images are a popular option and are inexpensive.
- Forms-Would you like your customers to contact you via a contact form? Contact forms are a good decision because they don't require the client to need an email program. They are also a good way to accumulate a lot of pertinent information quickly. They eliminate the need to fax over a form, or to have to ask each question over the phone.
Sample Website Forms:
Furniture Bank Donation Form
The Laird Law Firm Contact Form
Fran Biz USA Request More Information Form
- Flash Animation-Flash animation is an excellent way to add a special touch to any website. Instead of having still images, Flash can make the pages fade in and out, as well as have text appear, and disappear accordingly.
- Shopping Cart-Do you want your website to sell products exclusively on the web, or just as a side addition to your website? For example, you may own a carpet cleaning business, but also may want to include a shopping cart for the sale and distribution of carpet cleaning materials to home owners.
- Blog-This is a good addition to a website, because it gives the client more of a personal touch, instead of just reading corporate terminology. A blog allows you to make random entries about your business to your customers. You may include things such as strategies, current events, and other "not so corporate", but relevant information.
What do I need to get started?
- The more we know about your business, the better we can help. After our initial contact, we will request that you send as much information as you can regarding your business. That includes brochures, pamphlets, current website links, white papers, blogs, etc.
- The more you know about what you want your website to do, the better. If you have already looked at other similar websites, and have an idea of what you want it to accomplish, please send us the website links so we can review them.
- Do you already have branding/marketing materials? That includes business card design, logo design, brochures, etc. When we design your website, we include your company logo, and other design elements, to stay in accordance with your current marketing materials, and to maintain a consistent look. If you do not currently have these items, you may want to consider hiring us to design those for you, that away everything is consistent and branded properly from the beginning.
How much does a typical website cost?
The best thing would be to contact us so we can get an idea of what you're looking for in a website. Then we can properly give you a quote.
Can I update the website myself?
Yes you can, but the cost of the website will increase. If you plan on needing to update your website at least once a week, you may want to consider purchasing a website with a CMS (Content Management System) option. If you plan on needing to update your website only once a month, then you may want to consider purchasing one of our monthly maintenance plans. That away you don't have to remember how to use the web application, and you can be guaranteed everything will be completed successfully. If you only need to update your website once or twice a year, just give us a call. We would be more than happy to make the updates for you.
What is the design process?

How long does a typical website take to produce?

Can you help me pick a domain?
Absolutely! In fact, we recommend you let us help you pick a domain, so that we can advise you on what the best options are for your business.
